Samuel Washington, MS

Samuel Washington is the Vice President of Health Technology at African Health Nexus. He leads technology standards, architecture, security, and health IT interoperability across health technology programs, ensuring systems meet FHIR, TEFCA, and applicable compliance requirements. A retired Air Force officer, he has spent over 30 years standing up technology infrastructure in high-stakes environments across the Department of Defense, academic institutions, and private industry. He deployed to Southwest Asia in support of Operation Enduring Freedom and Operation Iraqi Freedom. He holds an MS in Computer and Information Science and an MS in Information Management, along with CRISC and ITIL certifications. He is also a licensed aircraft pilot.
